RECEIVES $1000
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP for 2008
Cassidy Woodard, a graduate of Calhan High School received the 19th
annual Double El Conservation District Scholarship for $1000 with a renewable
option of $500. Cassidy graduated with a 4.085 GPA and was involved in
numerous activities during her high school career including basketball,,
volleyball, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, and National
Honor Society. She was a member, director and president of the North
American Limousin Junior Association. She was actively involved in 4-H for
10 years and a member of the El Paso County Livestock Judging Team for 7 years.
Cassidy plans to attend University of Denver where she will pursue a degree in
Business or History with aspirations to become an agricultural or environmental
lawyer. She is the daughter of Roger and Patty Woodard of Calhan.
